Nui and Okami met some of the insane rinnegan path children before. They are the failed paths Kurieta created before his death.
Mission Recap[]
we join the three ninja inside the uchiha village, they hear a loud explosion and see a smoking hole in the wall surrounding the city. Nui sees a small child-like figure run through the smoke and they give chase. Further investigation revealed two childlike figures running through the forest. Just as the party decides that they were being baited towards the village a missile explodes near the group and the party sees the asura path with missile pads on his torso. Nui body flickers in and makes quick work of him with a katana slash, however her sword bites into a missile and the explosion sends her crashing into a tree. The naraka path continues taunting and leading the party on, but a loud explosion comes from Akumu and the party heads back. when they arrive a bird-like creature and three headed dog are wreaking havoc in the village, but more importantly 5 children are standing and waiting for the party. The five children worked together as against the players with the deva and pretta path often using their abilities defensively. The reaming paths worked offensively against the ninja. as their numbers thinned the deva path drew Nui and Okami into the naraka and animal paths hands, each of them went for one shot kills. Luckily kantaro intervened taking down the animal path. Eventually only the pretta path remained and he broke down crying when all of his siblings died. The party defended Akumu against the attack, but the city sustained heavy damage due to the summons destruction
